I hate this article after “It Ain’t Pretty”. The reason I have to interupt the other guys is that they go on and on and on. The kids laughed, a lot. You also left out that my group was the kids favorite group. The kids didn’t think it was disrespectful or rude, in the postPARTY survey, ask Ms Fitzgerald or Ms Cunningham what the kids thought of our presentation.

The newspaper often cover what has happen in court but little is told about the long outcome of what happened to the victims. The verbal grapevine sometimes does better news coverage. I am sadden to know that both women struggle greatly, I am happy to know that both women have courage to be involved in a message on what happened to them.
My Grandson was killed two months later, also in El Dorado County, and we did go to court. Was I happy with the prosecutions outcome and follow threw, no we were not. Justus is rare for the victimes of DUI or drug related cases. Melissa Nichols recieved two years in jail, and so much was not able to come out in court for the jury to hear. I now hear storys such as this all the time now, and think, “How do we reach people” Maybe seeing more details of these accidents will reach the young. We are not reaching the court system, and so often the ones who drink and drive, travel the back roads to hide from the police because they know they are drunk, that being a quote from Melissa Nichols during a interview with police. I can only hope that Brandi and Melissa and so many others will hear the message before they drink/do drugs and drive. No matter our age…..the victims pay a high price from being changed forever from who they are to leaving whole families and friends lost without that person, also from a horrible death. Life is different now for us all. Yes good does come from pain, Thank you to all who are brave to go forward with the PARTY program.
