Clean up and clean out on Oct. 15

The El Dorado Hills Community Services District, in partnership with Video Products Distributors, hosts the Fall Community Clean-up Day, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 15.

The event is designed to provide El Dorado Hills residents (within the CSD boundaries) a place to discard old junk, yard waste and unused household items. Clean out the garage, clean up the yard and bring your stuff  to VPD, 4250 West Town Center Drive in El Dorado Hills. We will take care of the rest.

Donations are welcome; money from the event will go toward the CSD Community Supporting Youth Program.

Items that will not be accepted at this event are as listed:

Commercial waste, Construction debris, such as drywall, HVAC material, insulation, dimensional lumber, plumbing, plywood, rocks, roofing material, siding, stucco foam. Dead animals, lawn mowers, or landscape equipment with gas or oil in it, mattresses, and box springs, motor oil, hazardous waste, propane cylinders, tires, sleeper sofas, tree stumps bigger than 30 inches in diameter, batteries, herbicides, insecticides, pesticides, paint, solvents, pharmaceuticals, any chemicals.

For more information on the event contact the CSD at (916) 933-6624 or e-mail jklein@edhcsd.org if you are interested in volunteering.
