Cameron Park Crime Watch: April 2014

The following information was taken from El Dorado County sheriff’s reports:

No joke
April 1: A Cambridge Road HOA reported the theft of several cement blocks from a retaining wall.

Bad influence
April 3: Special enforcement detail officers arrested a 23-year-old man on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia on Coach Lane.

Door jam
April 5: Someone forced open a Merrychase Drive school’s door.

Unusual entry
April 5: Deputies responding to a possible burglary on La Crescenta Drive found a person inside the home but later determined the subject had permission to enter the home through a window.

Busted
April 6: Deputies arrested a 55-year-old man on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and a probation violation on Robin Lane.

Too loud
April 7: A Coach Lane motel guest was placed under citizen’s arrest for alleged excess noise.

Warranted
April 8: Deputies arrested a 24-year-old woman with a warrant and also reportedly found her in possession of drug paraphernalia on Garden Circle.

Taking aim
April 8: A man allegedly pointed a gun at another man during an argument on Cambridge Road.

Phone found
April 9: A cell phone was found on Knollwood drive and turned over to the Sheriff’s Department.

Chilly
April 10: A thief broke into a vehicle parked on Palmer Drive and stole a coat.

Flattened
April 11: A woman reported that someone slashed her tires while the vehicle was parked on Country Club Drive.

Rocked
April 11: A man reported that the father of his girlfriend’s child threw rocks at the victim’s vehicle parked on Country Club Drive.

Lookin’ for a fight
April 12: Deputies arrested a 26-year-old man who was allegedly trying to start fights in a Coach Lane parking lot.

Cited
April 13: Deputies reportedly found a 47-year-old man in possession of drug paraphernalia. They issued the suspect a citation.

Vandals strike
April 13: A Starbuck Road home was vandalized.

Putting up a fight
April 13: A 35-year-old woman contacted by a deputy on Cambridge Road allegedly tried to run and, when caught, physically fought with the deputy. She was arrested.

Vandals back
April 14: Vandals damaged property at a Merrychase Drive school and a nearby park.

More vandalism
April 14: A Cameron Park Drive business owner reported more than $1,000 worth of damage done to his property.

Shopping distraction
April 16: Safeway staff requested a 58-year-old man who was allegedly harassing customers be removed from the Coach Lane property.

Scammed
April 17: A 70-year-old woman reported that she sent in a vacation rental deposit, which was cashed, and then discovered the rental ad was a scam.

Stolen
April 18: A petty theft was reported on Larkspur Lane.

Bike found
April 18: A bicycle was found on Knollwood Drive.

Flagged down
April 18: While patrolling on Coach Lane, deputies were flagged down and after further investigation they arrested two 18-year-old women on suspicion of controlled substance possession.

Not so merry
April 19: Deputies arrested a 30-year-old man on suspicion of drug possession on Merrychase Drive.

Influenced
April 19: Deputies arrested a 45-year-old woman on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance on Hillcrest Drive.

Snatched
April 20: A thief smashed a vehicle’s window and stole a purse left inside on Gateway Drive.

Pretty petty
April 22: A petty theft was reported on Castana Drive.

Multiple hits
April 22: A Cameron Park Drive sign was vandalized for the sixth time.

Theft
April 23: Someone stole items from a possibly unlocked vehicle parked on Valtara Road.

Fake
April 23: A man was reportedly impersonating a law enforcement officer on Green Valley Road.

In the way
April 24: A 19-year-old woman was arrested after she reportedly obstructed a theft investigation on Coach Lane.

Caught
April 25: Deputies arrested a 19-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man on suspicion of drug possession on Cameron Park Drive.

Too much
April 25: Two transients, ages 34 and 52, were arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on Coach Lane.

Stunned
April 25: Deputies cited a 16-year-old boy after reportedly funding the teen in possession of a stun gun on Cimmarron Road.

Marijuana find
April 26: Deputies arrested a 33-year-old man on suspicion of transporting marijuana for sale after reportedly finding more than 7 ounces of concentrated cannabis in his vehicle on Coach Lane.

Booze run
April 26: An 18-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy were reportedly caught stealing alcohol from a Coach Lane business.

Vehicle gone
April 27: A burglar stole items from a Montero Road residence and stole a car.

Tipsy
April 27: Deputies arrested a 50-year-old man on suspicion of public intoxication on Coach Lane.

Break-in
April 28: A thief broke the driver’s side window of a vehicle parked on Country Club Drive but nothing appeared to be taken.

What’s this?
April 28: Deputies arrested a 23-year-old man on suspicion of drug possession on Palmer Drive.

Gun gone
April 29: A thief stole a firearm and other items from a Hacienda Road home.
