Cameron Park Crime Watch: February

The following information was taken from El Dorado County sheriff’s reports:

Break in the case
Feb. 3: A cashbox and metal file related to an open case were found on Cameron Park Drive.

Pulled over
Feb. 3: A 22-year-old man was reportedly found in possession of hypodermic needles during a traffic stop on La Canada Drive.

In his pants
Feb. 3: A 33-year-old man allegedly stuffed items from a Coach Lane business in his pants before exiting the store without paying. The suspect was caught and cited.

Feb. 3: Two women reportedly got into a physical fight on La Crescenta Drive. No one was arrested.

Angry at ads
Feb. 4: Someone destroyed two advertising signs posted on Coach Lane.

How annoying
Feb. 4: Deputies took a reported of annoying phone calls made to a De Sabla Road home.

Alarming move
Feb. 5: A would-be thief forced open the door of a CSD building on Cambridge Road, setting off the alarm. Nothing appeared to be taken.

Vandals strike
Feb. 5: Vandalism was reported on Cameron Park Drive.

Mailbox mischief
Feb. 6: A Merrychase Drive resident reported that someone damaged his mailbox.

Feb. 6: An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of narcotics possession on Green Valley Road after deputies, responding to a possible drug sale call, reportedly found the suspect with marijuana.

Biz burglarized
Feb. 6: Someone pried open the door of an Alhambra Drive business and stole several items.

Where’s my phone?
Feb. 7: A cell phone was reported missing, possibly lost on Cameron Park Drive.

Troubled student
Feb. 8: A 14-year-old boy was arrested after he reportedly threatened a Green Valley Road school staff member.

Lock slices
Feb. 10: A storage shed lock was cut on Cameron Park Drive.

Gas guzzler
Feb. 10: Someone siphoned gas from a vehicle parked on Cameron Park Drive.

Feb. 11: Deputies arrested a 19-year-old man on Lapis Court after he allegedly brandished a machete.

Check up
Feb. 11: A 58-year-old man went to jail after deputies found him allegedly drunk at a Palmer Drive bank.

Can’t come in
Feb. 12: A Cameron Park Drive resident reported that someone tried to force entry into his home.

Dude, where’s my car?
Feb. 13: An Archwood Road resident reported his vehicle stolen by a female friend after he lent it to her three months ago and she has yet to return it.

Since you stopped me
Feb. 13: Deputies stopped a vehicle on Garden Circle. The driver told authorities someone broke into his vehicle and stole several items.

At the scene of the crime
Feb.14: A 37-year-old man exited a vehicle parked on La Canada Drive and ran as cops approached. He was caught and deputies discovered that the suspect had allegedly burglarized the vehicle he ran from.

Vandals at work
Feb. 14: Vandals damaged a Department of Transportation trailer parked on Sabana Drive.

Feb. 14: Deputies cited a 56-year-old woman on suspicion of burglary on Palmer Drive.

Unholy move
Feb. 15: Someone busted a Rodeo Road church’s window.

No camping
Feb. 17: Deputies shut down a transient’s camp east of Palmer Drive.

Feb. 17: A 26-year-old man was arrested after a probation search on La Canada Drive reportedly yielded narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

Left behind
Feb. 17: A woman reported leaving her purse in the bottom of a shopping cart at a Coach Lane store.

Where’s my wallet?
Feb. 18: A thief forced his way into a vehicle parked on Cameron Park Drive and stole a wallet.

Feb 19: Someone busted out the back window of a vehicle parked on La Canada Drive but nothing was taken.

Odd accessory
Feb. 19: Deputies arrested a 47-year-old man seen on Cameron Park Drive with a metal club with a blunt edge on one side and sharp edge on the other.

Beer run
Feb. 20: A suspect grabbed a case of beer from a Cameron Park Drive gas station and left without paying.

Young offender
Feb. 22: A 17-year-old boy was arrested on Coach Lane after deputies reportedly found prescription drugs and marijuana in the teen’s vehicle.

Tipsy teen
Feb. 23: Deputies contacted a 17-year-old boy on Country Club Drive and reportedly found the boy in possession of stolen alcohol. He was cited and released to his mother.

Unhappy camper
Feb. 23: A 44-year-old man was arrested on Coach Lane after deputies reportedly caught him camping in the area and discovered the suspect had a warrant.

Feb. 24: An accidental gunshot brought deputies to a topaz Lane residence where they reportedly determined the weapon had not been properly secured.

Mailbox mischief
Feb. 25: Vandals attacked a cluster of mailboxes on Trinidad Drive.

Here’s your citation
Feb. 26: A 33-year-old man received a citation for alleged marijuana possession after deputies pulled him over on Knollwood Drive.

Problem passenger
Feb. 26: While conducting a traffic stop on Durock Road a deputy reportedly determined the vehicle’s passenger, a 46-year-old man, was in possession of a controlled substance. The man was arrested.

Fruitful search
Feb. 27: During a parole search at a La Crescenta Drive apartment deputies found the 31-year-old parolee allegedly under the influence of a controlled substance and in possession of narcotics.
