Cameron Park Crime Watch: March
The following information was taken from El Dorado County sheriffs reports:
Break in
March 1: A thief knocked in a Cameron Park Drive business’ window, entered the building and stole items.
Rummaged through
March 1: Someone burglarized a Merrychase Drive shed.
Phone threats
March 1: Two men on La Canada Drive reported receiving threatening texts and phone messages. A suspect has been identified.
Just grand
March 2: A grand theft was reported on Merrychase Drive.
Burgled
March 2: A home on Country Club Drive was burglarized.
Prowler on the loose
March 4: A prowler was spotted in a La Canada Drive back yard.
Powerless
March 5: A thief stole a set of deep cycle batteries from a travel trailer parked on Coach Lane.
Spare change
March 7: Someone stole spare change from an unlocked vehicle parked on Cameron Park Drive. Another unlocked vehicle parked on the same street was also burglarized.
Tough words
March 7: A Knollwood Drive resident reported that a suspect called him and threatened to have him beat up.
Big haul
March 7: Thieves busted into a home on Maryetta Drive, stealing $10,000 worth of jewelry, more than $1,000 in cash, $1,500 in electronics and $3,150 in DVDs.
Searched and seized
March 7: A 55-year-old woman was arrested following a probation search on Coach Lane.
Racy
March 8: A thief stole lingerie from an unlocked vehicle parked on Garden Circle.
Random assault
March 8: A 68-year-old woman reported being attacked by an unidentified female on Coach Lane.
Shattered
March 8: A burglar busted a vehicle’s window and stole miscellaneous items on Garden Circle. A similar break-in occurred on Virada Road.
Bone collector
March 8: A Country Club Drive resident turned in a bone his dog found.
Youngsters in trouble
March 10: A 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy spotted on La Canada Drive received citations for curfew violations.
Getting pushy
March 10: A 32-year-old man and a 49-year-old man reportedly got into a shoving match on Country Club Drive. No one was arrested.
Goofy guests
March 11: A Coach Lane hotel assistant called authorities to report two people behaving bizarrely in the hotel lobby. Deputies reportedly determined the two — a 36-year-old woman and a36-year-old man — were under the influence of a controlled substance.
Brawl
March 13: A 56-year-old man reported a battery on Cameron Park Drive but declined prosecution of the 59-year-old male suspect.
Not sly enough
March 13: A deputy spotted a 22-year-old man known to have a felony warrant at a Merrychase Drive gas station. When he approached, the suspect allegedly tried to get rid of narcotics in his possession. He was arrested.
Theft
March 14: A burglary was reported on Coach Lane.
That’s crazy
March 14: A burglary was reported on Crazy Horse Road.
Sparking interest
March 14: During a probation search on Cameron Park Drive deputies reportedly found illegal fireworks. The 21-year-old suspect was cited.
Stabbing
March 14: A 22-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly stabbed another man in the chest and threatened the victim on Cameron Park Drive.
Family matters
March 15: A woman on Rabin Way reported that her brother assaulted her husband but no one was arrested.
Who’s messing with my car?
March 16: An Alabaster Drive resident reported that someone had tampered with his vehicle.
Uneven Fight
March 17: A 17-year-old boy and a 36-year-old man were arrested after they allegedly assaulted an 18-year-old man on Cimmarron Road.
Another battle
March 18: Deputies cited a 16-year-old girl after she allegedly assaulted a 2-year-old woman on Aquamarine Circle.
Undesignated driver
March 18: Deputies identified an 18-year-old man on Cambridge Road who allegedly took a 16-year-old girl to a separate location where she consumed alcohol.
Looks suspicious
March 19: Three people were arrested on Coach Lane after a deputy checked up on a suspicious vehicle.
Spotted
March 20: A victim caught a burglar breaking into his vehicle on La Crescenta Drive. The suspect fled the scene.
Arthur gets even
March 21: Someone busted out the back window of a truck parked on Lancelot Court and stole stereo equipment and speakers.
Purse pilfered
March 23: A thief swiped a purse left in an unlocked vehicle parked in a Placitas Drive open garage.
Crime computed
March 23: A possibly known suspect reportedly stole a laptop from a Cimmarron Road home.
Caught
March 23: A 44-year-old woman was caught on Coach Lane after she allegedly stole from a nearby business.
Vicious fight
March 25: A 17-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after a fight on Cimmarron Road in which he received serious head and face injuries.
Trouble on Coach
March 25: Three people were arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance in two separate incidents on Coach Lane.
Holding her back
March 26: Deputies acting on a warrant on Coach Lane had to restrain the 47-year-old suspect after she allegedly became combative.
The chemicals between us
March 27: A 29-year-old woman was arrested after she reportedly admitted to exposing her former sister-in-law, 8-year-old niece and 7-year-old nephew to chemicals on Mira Loma Drive.
