EDH Crime Watch: Aug. 8-14

The following information was taken from El Dorado County sheriff’s reports:

Bang
Aug. 8: Suspicious shots were reported on Freno Way.

Double catch
Aug. 8: Deputies arrested two men, ages 18 and 19, at a Valley View Parkway apartment. The men face drug and weapon-related charges.

Tools taken
Aug. 9: Someone broke into a Latrobe Road storage area, cut a trailer’s locks and stole several landscaping tools.

In the back
Aug. 9: Thieves stole several items from a Loch Way home’s backyard.

Grab and go
Aug. 9: A thief stole a woman’s purse while she shopped at a Francisco Drive business. The victim’s credit cards were later used.

Knife fight
Aug. 9: A suspect wielding a knife injured a 38-year-old man on Saratoga Way. He fled prior to deputies’ arrival.

Runaway car
Aug. 10: Burglars busted out the driver’s side window of a vehicle parked on Golden Foothills Parkway and then stole the stereo. The vehicle’s parking brake was apparently disabled during the incident and the car rolled back a struck a building.

Burgled
Aug. 10: A Rocky Springs Road family reported theft from their locked garage and a trailer parked on the side of the home.

iStole
Aug. 11: Someone stole an iPhone and wallet left in a vehicle parked on Salmon Falls Road. The phone was later tracked to a Sacramento home.

Safe swiped
Aug. 12: Thieves snuck into an El Dorado Hills Boulevard building and stole a business’ safe.

Hair-raising
Aug. 12: Someone broke into a St. Andrews Drive salon, causing $1,500 in damages. The owner was unsure what, if anything, was taken.

Purse pilfered
Aug. 12: A thief broke into a vehicle parked on Harvard Way and stole a purse left inside.

Sign of the times
Aug. 12: Someone stole business signs along Latrobe Road.

Hit and run
Aug. 13: Three men pushing a motorcycle on Embarcadero Drive were struck by a passing vehicle. The crash severely damaged the motorcycle but there were no reports of personal injury. The 29-year-old suspect was later located at a Cameron Park bar.

While you were out
Aug. 14: An Oak Tree Circle resident reported a residential break in through nothing appeared to be missing.
