The following information was taken from El Dorado County sheriff’s reports:
Feb. 20: Someone took the stereo faceplate from a vehicle parked on Governor Drive.
Feb. 21: A thief stole a cell phone on Post Street.
Feb. 21: A 22-year-old man reportedly broke a window in his parent’s Shoreline Pointe home in an effort to get arrested.
Feb. 22: A Brisbane Circle resident reported his wallet stolen from his home. The victim suspects a solicitor who was recently in the house.
Feb. 22: Burglars found an unlocked vehicle parked on Augustus Place and stole items left inside. They then allegedly used the garage door opened to gain access to the house.
Another unlocked door
Feb. 22: Thieves found another unlocked vehicle parked on Augustus Place and stole a firearm and GPS unit left inside.
Feb. 22: Someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked on Beechwood Drive and stole change left in the center console.
Powerless to stop it
Feb. 22: Thieves broke into a locked vehicle parked in a Marina Park Drive driveway and stole power tools.
Feb. 22: Someone entered a Mesa Verde Drive home (possibly through an unlocked side door) and stole a jewelry box.
Another break in
Feb. 22: Thieves targeted a Tam O Shanter Drive home, stealing jewelry and a laptop.
Messed up message
Feb. 23: A Stockwood Lane resident reported that someone wrote a threatening message in chalk on the driveway.
Feb. 23: Deputies arrested a 22-year-old man accused of stealing alcohol from a Park Lane grocery store.
Feb. 23: A 17-year-old boy contacted on Kinkead Court reportedly admitted to stealing items from several vehicles. Deputies reportedly found the teen in possession of stolen goods.
More cases solved
Feb. 24: Deputies reportedly found another 17-year-old boy, this time on Merriam Lane, in possession of stolen goods. The teen allegedly admitted to stealing items from unlocked vehicles around the neighborhood.
Feb. 25: A thief took a laptop left inside a vehicle parked on Mt. Ranier Way.
Feb. 26: Someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked on Montridge Way but apparently didn’t steal anything.
