EDH Crime Watch: March 22-28
The following information was taken from El Dorado County sheriffs reports:
Through the window
March 22: A thief opened a Valley View Parkway home’s window and stole a laptop sitting on a table by the window.
No smoking
March 23: Deputies reportedly found a 13-year-old girl in possession of smoking paraphernalia on Windplay Drive. She was released to a parent.
Weapons at school
March 23: An 11-year-old boy allegedly brought a taser and folding knife to a Bass Lake Road school. The boy was cited and released to a family member.
Two problems
March 23: A Merriam Court resident reported that someone stole items from her unlocked vehicle and vandalized her other vehicle.
Accidental shooting
March 23: A 15-year-old boy was reportedly shot in the eye with an airsoft rifle while playing with friends on Latrobe Road.
Good intentions?
March 24: An allegedly intoxicated man approached an off-duty deputy on Mossview Place and reportedly tried to surrender a weapon following an argument with his wife. the man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication.
Mistaken identity
March 25: A deputy reportedly drew his weapon and pointed it at a man on Valley View Parkway after receiving a suspicious person report. Further investigation revealed that the man lived at the apartment complex.
Too much
March 26: Deputies arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of public intoxication in Town Center.
Where’s my car?
March 27: Thieves broke into a Souza Drive garage and stole a car.
Burgled
March 27: A residential burglary was reported on Shasta Circle.
Mail found
March 27: A man found possibly stolen mail on the side of Latrobe Road. It was turned over to the Post Office for redelivery.
Powerless
March 28: A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on Powers Drive.
