CSD set to discuss assessment overcharge claims

The El Dorado Hills Community Services District was the subject of a recent newspaper article regarding assessments for the Wild Oaks Park Lighting and Landscape Assessment District wherein resident activist John Everett claimed the CSD overcharged residents.

Upon request of the CSD board’s Administration and Finance committee, CSD finance office staff, assessment engineer, and legal counsel, have reviewed the formation documents, annual engineer’s reports and parcel documentation and found that the parcels have been assessed correctly.

At 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 18, the board will discuss whether to consider approval of $7,500 from the Wild Oaks Park L&L for an independent third party assessment engineer to review and validate the documents, given concerns raised about the current assessment. Public comment and feedback will greatly help in determining whether to proceed with the additional review.

Public comments may be voiced at the Nov. 18 meeting or e-mailed to [email protected] prior to the meeting.

For additional information call the El Dorado Hills Community Services District at (916) 933-6624.
