Roman Andrus, 18, of El Dorado Hills Troop 529 recently received his Eagle Scout Award.

For his Eagle project Andrus built and installed outdoor benches at Marble Valley School. While at Oak Ridge High School, the 2012 graduate was also in community service projects as well as high school varsity football, basketball and track and field.

In the fall Andrus attended Brigham Young University where he was a member of the football team along with fellow Oak Ridge teammate Dylan Collie. Andrus will leave on a two-year LDS church mission to Monterrey, Mexico, on March 13.
