Election filing period looms
The nomination period for the Nov. 8, 2011 Consolidated Districts Election runs through Aug. 12, at 5 p.m. For offices where the incumbent fails to file by the deadline, the nomination period will be extended to Aug. 17, at 5 p.m. An incumbent may not file during the extension period.
