Fire dept. plans drill

The El Dorado Hills Fire Department will conduct a multi-agency wildland fire exercise from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, on the west side of El Dorado Hills; Fire apparatus will move in and out of the Ridgeview and Promontory villages throughout the operational period of the exercise.

The incident command post will be at the intersection of Beatty Drive and Powers Drive.

The objective of the drill is preparation for this year’s wildland fire season for both the professional and volunteer firefighters of El Dorado Hills and surrounding El Dorado County agencies. Cal Fire will also participate with two fire engines and a dozer to support the drill objectives. There will be seven operational divisions each offering unique challenges for the crews to learn and master their skills to ready for this fire season.

If you have any questions about the drill contact Chief Brad Ballenger at (916) 933-6623 or bballenger@edhfire.com.
