Folsom celebrates Chanukah; everyone invited
Folsom embraces the true spirit of freedom and the holiday season with the fourth annual Chanukah Wonderland. Held at Folsom’s Historic Sutter Street, the community is invited to share in the Chanukah celebration that culminates in the lighting of the 8-foot Menorah.
The celebration will take place from 2 to 6 p.m. (5 p.m. menorah lighting) on Sunday, Dec. 5, on Historic Sutter Street near the Folsom Ice Rink.
Sponsored by Chabad Jewish Community Center, the Chanukah Wonderland festival will include interactive games for all ages, music and free latkes. Take a spin on the Folsom Ice Rink and get a discount on skate rentals, and taste delicious treats at the Kosher food court. For last minute shopping, check out the Chanukah gift shop. Then stay for lighting the giant menorah at 5 p.m. In addition, don’t forget to bring canned goods to donate to the Folsom Food Bank. Collection begins at 2 p.m. Admission is free, with game tickets just $1.
