Free wine tasting at The Pines at Placerville

PLACERVILLE — The public is invited to a free wine tasting and open house on Thursday, March 15, 4 to 7:30 p.m., at 1040 Marshall Way in Placerville to experience the new feel, see the new facelift and enjoy local wines and hors d’oeuvres at The Pines at Placerville.

Attendees to the event will be able to meet District 1 Supervisor John Knight.

The Pines at Placerville Healthcare Center, formally known as Placerville Pines, has been a fixture in Placerville since the 1960s. What used to be known as a sleepy nursing home is now a state-of-the-art skilled rehabilitation facility, serving all of El Dorado County and surrounding areas.

“It’s a remarkable transformation.  Families and residents are so pleased with the level of care provided, new look, and bountiful amenities,” said Laurie Randall, marketing director for Western Slope Healthcare Center.

Randall continues, “We are so pleased to see our contemporaries at the Pines at Placerville have the opportunity to impact our community in such a positive way.”

“The Pines at Placerville is hoping this Wine Tasting and Open House will showcase to the community the changes that have taken place and show our commitment to contribute a much needed environment for rehabilitation,” said Mac Jones, executive director for The Pines at Placerville Healthcare Center.

Boeger Winery representatives will attend to pour their delectable wines. The Pines at Placerville’s accomplished chefs will provide the hors d’oeuvres and a chocolate fountain will sweeten the occasion.
