Funny money floating around Town Center
El Dorado Hills Chamber of Commerce officials are warning business owners to diligently check all cash coming into their shops and restaurants.
“An incident happened at several of the Town Center businesses this past weekend where a blonde lady presents a $100 bill which is actually a bleached $5 bill,” the e-mail notice reads.
El Dorado County sheriff’s officials are investigating the incidents and, according to the chamber, the woman is a suspect in other cases outside of Town Center.
The suspect is described as a heavy-set blonde who usually wears her hair in a ponytail and is approximately 5-feet, 5-inches tall. Anyone with information should call the Sheriff’s Department at (530) 621-6600.
