High school registration information
The El Dorado Union High School District has released the following student registration information for the 2011–12 school year. School will start on Aug. 8.

The Counseling Office will be closed for summer break from June 27 through July 15, reopening July 18 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Counselors will be available after Aug. 3.
New students in grades 9 and 10 may register on July 29 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. and on Aug. 1 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. New students in grades 11 and 12 may register on July 29 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and on Aug. 1 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Group registration only will take place, appointments will not be allowed. Students are reminded to have their transcript, immunization information and proof of residence (voter registration, driver’s license address change, PG&E bill, etc.) available at the time of registration. Parents or students may contact the Counseling Office at ext. 3050 with any questions.
Freshman, new student and parent orientation will take place on Aug. 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. Students will receive their class schedule during orientation. Student pictures are scheduled for Aug. 11 and 12.
Schedule changes for returning students may be done by mail. Students should receive a form by mail in early July. Drop-in appointments will not be allowed. Students may pick up their class schedule in the cafeteria on Aug. 5 between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. or on the first day of school at 7:30 a.m.
All students, all grades, must turn in their emergency card to receive their schedule.

The Counseling Office will be closed for summer break from June 20 through July 8, reopening on July 11, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Counselors will be available after July 27.
New student registration is by appointment only. To make an appointment contact the Counseling Office after July 18. Freshman registration will take place on July 28 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. and from 1 to 3 p.m. New student registration for grades 10–12 will take place on July 29 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. and from 1 to 3 p.m.
Freshmen will receive their class schedule at freshman orientation on Aug. 3, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Students may pick up their class schedule in front of the cafeteria on Aug. 5 between 1 and 3 p.m. or on the first day of school between 6:30 and 8:10 a.m. Emergency cards must be submitted at the time of schedule pickup.
Returning students are to follow the class schedule they receive on the first day of school. Schedule changes for returning students may be done by mail or e-mail, as follows:
