Hometown Hero: Edward Wilcox

Air Force Airman 1st Class Edward R. Wilcox graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Wilcox is the son of Jeffrey and Jan Wilcox El Dorado Hills.

He is a 2003 graduate of Jesuit High School, Carmichael. He earned a bachelor’s degree in 2010 from Sonoma State University, Rohnert Park.
