Hometown Hero: Trisha Gallaway

Trisha A. Gallaway has been named the 2011 Air Mobility Command Public Affairs Outstanding Communication Tactical Level Civilian of the Year.

Selection was based on the individual’s exemplary duty performance, job knowledge, leadership qualities, teamwork, significant self-improvement, personal achievements, notable accomplishments, and community service and support.

Gallaway is a public affairs specialist assigned to the 628th Air Base Wing at Joint Base Charleston, S.C.

She is the daughter of Kevin and Tammi Schmalz of Cameron Park.

Gallaway graduated in 1998 from Oak Ridge High School and received a bachelor’s degree in 2003 from California State University, Sacramento.
