Great all for it, as long as you don’t try to “tax” people that don’t use the facility. If you and others in El Dorado Hills want the arena, you can make donations or parking or ticket surcharges, but not sales taxes that affect everyone.

Ms. Taylor: In many ways the current arena is unsafe. Our goal is to build a complex that includes numerous activities. The Kings will only occupy it 41 days. We are searching for ways to create jobs short and long term so that everyone can take advantage of the facility if they wish. Right now we are in the midst of the worst economy since the depression and we can find ways to increase employment and bring people back to work through build the complex. current methods are not working. Let’s work together! We are open to any and all ideas.

J Miller: No one has said anything about raising taxes. We are discussing lots of options including how to improve our local economy in El Dorado County and facilitate building a world class complex all can appreciate. My company has nothing to do with this and it is me personally.

Fix the Arena that is already there, and let those that benefit pay for it. Once an arena is built on the rail yard (that use to be the home of industry and working people) there will be another critical need to build an arena somewhere else. It’s not about the Kings and the Arena, it’s about the development and the people that will be making money off of it.
