Marshall Medical Center congratulates 2011 Health Scholarship recipients

Marshall’s strong community commitment includes an annual scholarship program, awarding a total of $5,000 to graduating seniors at the Western Slope’s five area high schools.
Marshall is very pleased to present these scholarships every year; this year’s applicants were extremely impressive, demonstrating serious commitment to their education and to the community at large. The competition was so strong that the selection committee was unable to decide on just one recipient from three of the five schools, and awarded the scholarships to two deserving students from those schools. Some of the award winners have also contributed many hours of service to Marshall as Jr. volunteers; however this is not a requirement for receiving the award.
Each of this year’s scholarship recipients is planning a career in a medical or health-related field. The scholarships were presented at recent award ceremonies at each of the schools. We wish the following students much success in their future endeavors.
