ORHS Music wins big at Heritage Festival

Oak Ridge High School musicians brought home several honors after performing at the Heritage Festival in Anaheim over spring break.

The bands took gold in the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic and Jazz categories, and won the Band Sweepstakes Award. Choir also had an impressive show and took home gold for Choral and Chamber groups, while A Capella and Treble ensembles received silver awards. Special individual recognitions were given to Danielle Jolette, Kyle Schafer and Peter Nelson who received the Maestro Awards. Finally Oak Ridge Music Department was honored with the highest award overall, The Grand Sweepstakes Award.
