Party animals: Sierra Wildlife Rescue to host open house

By November 5, 2010

Come join the fun at Sierra Wildlife Rescue’s Open House from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov.13.

Tour the new Wildlife Center, visit with our educational animals, enjoy delicious refreshments and learn more about the wildlife of El Dorado County.

Get some Christmas shopping done early. Or you can adopt a favorite wild animal species through the new program and receive an adoption certificate and gifts featuring your species. All proceeds go to the care of  animals in rehab. Any of these would make great presents for friends and family. Membership, volunteer and donation information will also be available.

The center is located just off Highway 50, at 3030 Newtown Road, East of Placerville. Look for the SWR sign on top of the building and an enclosed chain-link fence parking lot. Parking is limited, so it’s a good idea to carpool or come early. For more information or directions call Barbara at (530) 621-2650.
