Walter Oberloher, El Dorado Hills “I live in Woodridge off Bass Lake Road and to tell you the truth I’m more concerned with local issues in my community that events in the middle east. I guess I’m a child of the 60s and maybe a little radical. They have their problems. I don’€™t want us over there trying to keep the peace. We have our own problems. Chris Dravetsky El Dorado Hills "€œIt leaves me wondering if it could happen here. We've already got the Tea Party and the unions fighting in Wisconsin. We need two parties, but I wish they could work together in the middle ground."€
Dan Adams, El Dorado Hills "It wouldn'€™t have happened a year ago. The whole socio-economic outlook there has changed; maybe it'€™s due to social networking. I'm not sure. Short term, it'€™s certainly going to heighten our awareness of world issues. We won'€™t know how it'€™s going to affect us longer term until we see what happens over there."
Melissa Williams, El Dorado Hills "My brother just got orders to return to Afghanistan. Innocent people always seem to get affected in those things. Khadafy'€™s army is shooting people on the street in Libya. Who’s going to stop them? Our troops always seem to get called in. God bless them."
Vitanshu Sharma, San Jose "€œI'€™m not sure what the short term impact, if any, will be on us here in this country. But in the long run, what'€™s happening over there is very positive. It will lead to more democracy, less repression and less violence. Democracies are more peaceful and more respectful of human rights."
