People Talk: Should same sex couples be allowed to marry?

By From page A2 | May 16, 2012

Julie Kever, El Dorado Hills: “Most definitely. Why shouldn’t a gay couple be entitled to the same rights and freedoms as everyone else?”

Richard Dias, Cameron Park: “I think it’s OK. People should be able to marry whomever they want.”

Blake Benson, El Dorado Hills: “No. It’s against my religion. I don’t have anything against gay couples as people; I just don’t believe they should be allowed to marry.”

Gary Bake, El Dorado Hills: “I don’t oppose it, but I also don’t advocate it. I’m not that engaged in the issue.”

Chris Dias, Cameron Park: “Yes. I have nothing against it. It’s natural. People should be able to be with the person they choose.”
