Parker Driscoll, El Dorado Hills “We’re in the moving and storage business, so we actually profit when the economy drops, because more people store their stuff. A stimulus that brought back home values would also help us because people would move up and into their new house.”
Roger Wick Placerville “I’d support small business, not just the banks and big development companies. We could start by making small business loans more accessible.”
Kambria Johnson Roseville “Here at Pottery World we’re trying to gear our merchandise mix for all income levels. That said, the greater the prosperity out there, the better we do. Whatever happens, it needs to help everyone.”
Guy Archbold, El Dorado Hills “I’m a Republican so to me it’s pretty simple. Less regulation. Eliminate corporate taxes. We’re one of the few countries that taxes corporations. It all gets passed on to the consumer and makes us less competitive. How about a long-term hiatus on payroll tax? One more: Corporations need to be incented to repatriate their offshore operations, otherwise they should get taxed.”
