People Talk: What are you reading this summer?

Jill Lohnes, Shingle Springs “‘Shutter Island.’ They just made a movie with Leonardo DiCaprio out of it. It’s a great story with loads of twists and turns. I can’t give anything away.”

Sedef Senman, Sacramento “€œ’The Subtle Body. It’€™s about auras, chakras and meditation. It links biological information, like how the organs work together, with energy levels and overall good health. It’€™s not a light read, but is really good.”

Jared Applebee, Shingle Springs “‘The Invisible Circus.’ It’€™s set in the 1960s. The characters are anti-war movement radicals. It’€™s about shattered illusions and that sort of stuff … all good.”

Hans Puehse, Folsom “‘Budah’€™s Brain.’€™ It’€™s a highly technical book about how the brain works. It identifies behavioral patters and links them to certain areas of the brain. It’€™s fascinating.”

Jennifer Geogh, Folsom “The Cesar Milan book. He’€™s the dog whisperer, but the book is about how to lead your life not so much how to train your dog.”
