People Talk: What did you do in 2011?

Natalie Buerki, El Dorado Hills: “I ran 26 miles in the Honolulu Marathon, something I never thought I could do, and also became the Marketing Director for El Dorado Hills Town Center. 2011 has been a good year I look forward to seeing what 2012 brings.”

Dave Roberts, El Dorado Hills: “We had our second granddaughter in September, and I was selected as fire chief before that. So all-in-all a pretty good year.”

Craig Brady, Dixon: “I was named (Nugget Market) store director in July, and it’s been a blast getting to know this community and the associates in this store.”

Randall Selland, Sacramento: “Running three restaurants (The Kitchen, Ella's and Selland's Market Cafe) and making all the preparations for another cafe here has kept my family running. The outpouring of support in El Dorado Hills has been tremendous.”

Carolyn Brooks, El Dorado Hills: “I became branch manager of the El Dorado Hills Library this year. I made a couple professional presentations, and was asked to contribute a chapter in a book about how libraries can work with other agencies in the community. And we got a new dog named Kitty.”
