Josh Glenn, El Dorado Hills: “I haven’t really been paying attention to the local stuff. I wish there was more (on the ballot) about getting our state out of the tax deficit it’s in.”

Carolyn Brooks, El Dorado Hills: "Funding for the library has been hit by all the budget crushing. (There should be) a tax for the library on the ballot so everyone will pay an equal fair amount. If everyone pays that amount, we get more money for more services."
Cory Call, Cameron Park: "I'm not following anything ... but I wish they would get this road construction done. I commute to Sacramento."
Erick Nordquist, Cameron Park: "The state has not paid the schools what is due them. People think (schools) are mis-spending, but we don't have money in the first place to spend. In the May budget revision, there's still deficit spending on education."
