People Talk: What makes a championship team?

Asked of the Rolling Hills girls eighth-grade volleyball team, which recently won its second Foothill Athletic League championship.

Nicole Spring, 13, El Dorado Hills: "You win a championship when everyone works together, gets along well, plays hard and helps each other out."

Megan Priest, 13, El Dorado Hills: "Hard work and dedication must come from everybody."

Elizabeth Cameron, 13, El Dorado Hills: "You need teamwork and hard work."

Noelle Tsivikas, 13, El Dorado Hills: "When teamwork makes the dream work ... and we're all cooperating with each other and having fun at the same time."

Olivia Reid, 13, El Dorado Hills: "A championship team is made up of hard-working people with good hearts and a drive to play."
