Lorraine and Cliff Emry,  El Dorado Hills, married 64 years. Lorraine: “We like to do a lot of the same things.” Cliff: “It helps that she’s a good cook. I can’t even boil water. She’s very giving, and always teaching me things.”

Marlene and Dave Rhoads,  Cameron Park, married 57 years. Dave: “The secret is to find an excellent wife who keeps an eye on you.” Marlene: “Especially since Red Hawk Casino opened. We go half and half with everything pretty much, but the wife generally has to step over the line.”
