Kim White, El Dorado Hills: “San Bruno Park was this large municipal park. My mom let us go there all day in the summer. We got Triple Fun Dip Sticks at the concession stand, and played in this little concrete stream that I now think came from the sewer plant. It was a great place for a kid.”
Billy Vandegrift, El Dorado Hills: “My childhood park was in front of the Palos Verdes Estates library. There was a grassy hill there and I used to love to go up there and roll down.”
Sue Parker, El Dorado Hills: “I grew up in rural Oregon and we just ran around in the woods. There really weren’t any parks, which is one reason I want to see Windsor Point brought to life.”
Katherine Smith, El Dorado Hills: “I grew up in Sacramento near Del Paso Park. We rode horses there on the equestrian trails. It was nice. There were a lot of men in the bushes, so we stayed on the trails.”
Mike Roberts, Placerville: “Triangle Park was about a third of a mile away, close enough for my mom to walk me there when I was little, but close enough to be the first place my friend and I were allowed to go to alone, which was a big adventure. It had a swing set, a merry go round and monkey bars.”
