Bill Tobin, El Dorado Hills: “My grandfather Elwin Letendre. He was the principal at Berkeley High School and inspired my passion for supporting education.”

Who inspired you to be who you are? (other than your parents)
Ted Robinson, Rancho Cordova: “Everything I am today is due to my grandpa John Oelkers. He was stone deaf and lame, just a poor janitor. Right after his wife’s funeral he walked right in front of a car. He lost his arm and his life savings."
Bill Tobin, El Dorado Hills: “My grandfather Elwin Letendre. He was the principal at Berkeley High School and inspired my passion for supporting education.”
Dara Ramsbotham, El Dorado Hills: “Miss Dolly, my summer camp mentor. Starting at age 9 I spent eight summers at a girl’s sleepover camp in Tennessee. She loved the outdoors and taught us independence, determination and caring.”
Whitney Kahn, Folsom: “Ruby Newell-Legner, she’s my hero. She trains park and rec professionals. After the first workshop I attended I came back ready to take the parks and rec world by storm. She inspired me to be a more compassionate supervisor.”
