Rescue board has open seat

The Rescue Union School District Board of Trustees is seeking candidates who are interested in filling a vacancy on the Governing Board that will be created by the resignation of Erike Young. The official expiration of the term of this vacancy is December 2016. The appointment will be from February 2014 to November 2014. The remaining years of the term will be filled by election on Nov. 4, 2014.

Potential candidates will have until noon on Feb. 3 to submit an application to the superintendent’s office located at the RUSD district office, 2390 Bass Lake Road in Rescue. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Applications are also available on the district website, rescueusd.org.

The superintendent invites any potential candidate who is interested in more information about the position or about the Rescue Union School District to contact administrative assistant Sharon Laurel at (530) 672-4810 to schedule an appointment.
