School board has vacancy

On July 9, El Dorado County Board of Education Member Matt Boyer submitted his letter of resignation, after representing District 1 (El Dorado Hills) for more than a decade.

The El Dorado County Board of Education will consider making an appointment to fill this vacancy at a special meeting scheduled for July 31 at 11:30 a.m. at the administration offices of the El Dorado County Office of Education, 6767 Green Valley Road in Placerville.

All interested parties are encouraged to review the minimum qualifications and electronically submit a Candidate Information Sheet available on the Spotlight page at edcoe.org, which includes the map of District 1. The information provided will be made available to the board for its consideration.

Applications may be submitted online, e-mailed to scarney@edcoe.org, faxed to (530) 642-1832 or mailed to Superintendent of School’s Office, EDCOE, 6767 Green Valley Road, Placerville 95667, by the close of business Monday, July 28. Applicants will be notified of an interview time for the meeting on July 31.
