Serrano men give to library

Members of the Serrano Men’s Book Club made a $2,775 donation to El Dorado Hills Librarian Carolyn Brooks and recently retired Librarian Susan Covington.

This was the third annual donation by the Serrano Men’s Book Club and was coordinated by book club members Wendell Kuykendall, Craig Keever and Bob Gilbert. The donation is designated to purchase the following needed reference sets of books for the library:

  • A full set (10 volumes) of Social History of the United States
  • The National Geographic Atlas of the World
  • The Oxford Atlas of the World

Book club members making contributions included the following: Phil Benner, Gene Bisson, David Busch, Mike Davis, Bob Devine,  Rich Eichman, George Engel, George Faulkner, Steve Ferry, Charlie Frey, Bob Gilbert, Bud Glasgow, Brenden Hegarty, Tom Holt,  Dick Hurley, Jerry Jacks, Bill Keane, Craig Keever, Wendell Kuykendall, Bob Mc Williams, Ray Parks, Roger Reynolds, Vern Robertson, Don Sacco, Otto Seide, Jim Sobczak, Roger Taylor, Kit Tuveson, Peter Voy, Bill Webb and Larry Williams

The Serrano Men’s Book Club is open to any male Serrano member and meets on the fourth Thursday of the month at 4 p.m. in the Men’s Locker Room Lounge. Any one interested in joining the club may contact Bill Webb at [email protected].
