I know we are all entitled to an opinion, and this Concerned Citizen has one. However, I hardly consider it “hateful and vial” when multiple other concerned citizens want to clean house. Especially since these many citizens, myself included, have based the decision on what has “shaked out” thus far. Either these boardmembers and the HR lady peacefully resign or they get removed by many concerned citizens.

You want proof? Read this. Skeel’s firing had nothing to do with performance issues. A new GM won’t fix this problem in the CSD.

The hateful and vial comments by the few are appalling to those of us who feel this board has the best interest of this community at heart. And It is sad that when we speak up we are attacked as well. Everyone is entitled to share their opinion just as you have. Perhaps we should wait to see how this all shakes out prior to accusing those that we have no proof have done wrong.

What is it with local boards on the Western Slope? The Cameron Park CSD Board and our own EDH CSD Board conduct themselves as if they are “playing” at governance. Most policy issues seem to be addressed, but the interplay between personalities is childlike and cliquish. Things like the assessments charged to the Woodridge village for Oak Knoll Park for years when the park wasn’t even a part of the LLAD, and the subsequent re-funding of those collected dollars are not just just acts of negligence, but of incompetence. Indeed, we are all neighbors, but with forty thousand plus residents the board can no longer conduct themselves as a group of friends picking pet projects and causes, but must govern with an eye to protecting the interests of all of our community.

And they think that at the renewal of their insurance, their premiums won’t go up (if Skeel wins)? That’s like thinking you can get into a head-on collission and your auto insurance cost will not be impacted.

I hope he takes them to the cleaners and also gets lots for punitive damages. And who, in God’s name, would want to be the next GM at the CSD?
