St. Stephen’s welcomes new pastor

St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church of El Dorado Hills, is pleased to announce the arrival of Pastor Trudy Franzen.

Pastor Franzen grew up in Southern California and attended California State University, Fresno, where she earned a degree in Spanish and minored in music. She taught Spanish, English and English as a Second Language for 11 years before beginning theological study at Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary.

Franzen is married to Gary and has three teenage children — Grace, John, and Amy.  Although she has yet to achieve high yields, she loves to work in her garden and is also a glass mosaic artist and a fan of Drum and Bugle Corps. Her interests in ministry include the emerging church, progressive Christianity and multicultural ministry.

St. Stephens’ traditional service is at 8:30 on Sundays. Contemporary worship is at 10:30.  Visit sslcedh.org or call the church office at (916) 933-1441 for special December and holiday service times.
