Fifth-grader Isabelle Grupp received the Rotary Club of El Dorado Hills’ Student of the Month award Wednesday morning for her uncompromising work ethic and compassion.

“She works harder than any other student at our school,” said Lake Forest Elementary Principal Bruce Peters. “She always has a smile on her face and is incredibly supportive of other students.”

In addition to working hard in the classroom, 11-year-old Isabelle loves to create art, skateboard (she participates in many El Dorado Hills Community Services District events) and play lacrosse. Joining her at breakfast in the EDHCSD Teen Center were her mother Rivers Grupp, a first-grade teacher at Lake Forest Elementary, and Isabelle’s older sister Caroline, 15.

Isabelle received a plaque and $50 from the Rotary Club.
