The Rotary Club of El Dorado Hills members celebrated Lake Forest Elementary first-grader Nicholas Allen as Student of the Month at the Feb. 6 meeting.

Calling Nicholas, 7, a creative student who serves as a role model to others, Principal Bruce Peters said, “He’s going to grow up to be an amazing young man.”

Rescue Union School District Superintendent David Swart credited Nicholas, his teachers and his family for the youngster’s success. “It really is a team effort,” Swart said while sharing positive test scores with the audience.

In addition to Peters and Swart, Nicholas was joined at breakfast by his mother Nicole, father Chris and little sister Kyra, 4. Rotary Club past-president Jeff England presented Nicholas with a plaque and $50.
