El Dorado Hill students p-e-r-f-o-r-m-e-d well at the 31st annual El Dorado County Spelling Bee hosted by the Pollock PInes Elementary School District.

Students from 20 elementary schools from Tahoe to El Dorado Hills participated in the event.

Oak Meadow Elementary’s third- and fourth-graders won first place in Division II competition.

Lake Forest Elementary’s fifth-grade team took first in Division III. Of the six members of Lake Forest’s team, three have been on the team for four consecutive years, taking two first-place rankings, a second place, and fourth place.

Jackson Elementary came in second in the same division.
