Support Food for Families

In California alone, nearly 27 percent of children don’t know where their next meal will come from.

Hunger is a reality for one in eight Americans. You may not think you know anyone that is suffering but millions are.

Raley’s Food For Families is one of the main givers of food for local food banks. Just one Food for Families bag can provide more than 18 meals to a hungry family.

Join News 10 in partnership for Raley’s Food For Families. Donate at any Raley’s, Bel Air, Food Source stores, online at Raleys.com or on Facebook now through Dec. 31 and help in the fight to feed the hungry.

Raley’s Food For Families holiday bag program doubles customers’ charitable giving by offering a $10 bag of wholesome, nonperishable and fresh food valued at more than $20 to benefit local food banks. Donors can personally select where they want their donation to go, ensuring that 100 percent of their contribution will feed the hungry in their neighborhoods.

Food For Families began as a holiday food drive in 1986 and since then has raised more than $29 million and more than 19 million pounds of food for the needy, as part of the company’s long-time commitment to local communities. The legacy of the program continues today, thanks to the support of Raley’s customers, colleagues and community partners.
