SWR hosts rehabbers and public wildlife classes

Join Sierra Wildlife Rescue to learn more about wildlife through upcoming classes.

March classes for prospective rehabbers include Songbird First Aid on March 12 from 7 to 9 p.m.; Rehabbing Rabbits on March 16 from 1 to 3 p.m.; Rehabbing Raptors on March 27 from 7 to 9 p.m.; and Rehabbing Waterfowl and Game Birds on March 30 from 1 to 3 p.m.

Classes for the general publis are: A repeat of Introduction to Local Wildlife on March 19 from 7 to 9 p.m.; Homeopathy for Baby Animals on March 23 from 10 a.m. to noon; and Living with Wildlife on March 23 from 1 to 3 p.m.

All classes are held at SWR’s Wildlife Center, 3030 Newtown Road in Placerville. Parking is limited; make reservations by contacting Barbara Barker at (530) 621-2650 or e-mail barbaraewing@cal.net. If you register for a class and can’t attend let SWR know as soon as possible since there is always a waiting list. Classes are free to SWR Members; a $5 donation is requested from the general public.
