Walgreens opens Oct. 14
El Dorado Hills’ newest drug store will open Friday, Oct. 14, and store manager Lisa Bang invites everyone to come in and “say hi.”
And get some free gifts.
What exactly will the store give away? “That’s a secret,” said Bang, 28, with a big smile on her face. “You have to come in to find out.
“It’s cool stuff,” she assured.
Walgreens sits on the corner of El Dorado Hills Boulevard and Saratoga Way. The 13,000-square-foot building houses a full-service pharmacy and drive-thru that offers prescriptions in 14 different languages, cosmetics department, photo department with one-hour photo and shelves filled with just about anything a person needs, including Halloween and — yes, it’s that time of year — Christmas supplies.
“We will have lots of great deals in the store,” Bang said.
Walgreens has moved into several El Dorado County neighborhhods lately, recently opening a store in Placerville and building another in Cameron Park.
“We want to be a part of the community,” Bang said.Walgreens will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day. Pharmacy hours will be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
