Women’s Fund grant available

The Women’s Fund El Dorado is now accepting applications for its 2014 grants from nonprofit and educational organizations on El Dorado County’s western slope. Donor members voted to focus on the following areas-of-need:

  • $40,000 in providing solutions to mental health challenges
  • $15,000, divided three ways, to programs and/or services supporting women and children, breaking the cycles of poverty and promoting senior services

Submitted applications will be reviewed by the Grants Committee to determine which grant requests will be on the ballot sent to members. Members vote in April and the grant recipients will be celebrated at the annual Grants Gala in June.

Complete guidelines and application forms are available online at womensfundeldorado.org, or at the office of the El Dorado Community Foundation, 312 Main St., Placerville. All proposals must be received in the foundation office by 5 p.m. March 17. For more information contact Robyn Parker, WFED Grants Committee Chair, at wfedgrants@eldoradocf.org.
