Affordable assisted living smack in the middle of El Dorado Hills?

Six large, comfortable homes purpose-built for senior-care are nestled on a cul-de-sac off woodsy Tam O’Shanter Drive in St. Andrews Village.

Gina Foulk and her son Tyler credit their success to their caregivers — 16 full-time bundles of energetic love that cook, care for and adore their charges 24 hours a day.

“I treat them like they’re my family,” said caregiver Juliet Hidalgo.

Each resident has their own bedroom and bathroom. Two large, accessible shower rooms in each house ensure safe bathing.

The small group living encourages bonding between residents. They decide on meals, which are cooked in the large open kitchen, and eaten at a big table, just like grandma’s house.

Monthly rates run between $2,800 to $3,400, including food.

Senior Care Village is a fully licensed long-term memory care facility.
