Steve Sakamoto opened Beach Hut Deli in 2011 and instantly made El Dorado Hills cool.

In flip flops and a Hawaiian shirt, Sakamoto looks like a Waimea Bay beach bum. He’s proud of the laid back atmosphere he’s created.

“It’s a nice place to come with friends after the game, or to just chill after work,” he said.

The menu is full of beach-themed sandwiches like the Surfin’ Bird, the Pipeline Pup and The Hobie.

Oak Ridge teams often find their way to the beach after games, or even a practice. Sakamoto supports several schools with revenue sharing programs.

Beach Hut is open for lunch and dinner, and also does a good catering business.

Beach Hut Deli is located at 3955 Park Drive, Suite 2, El Dorado Hills. For more information call (916) 941-3905 or visit beachhutdeli.com.
