Over the 30 years Comfort Solutions Heating & Air Conditioning owner John Buonauro has been in business, he has gotten so skilled at diagnosing and treating clients’ most difficult heating and air problems, he’s been called as an expert witness in court and is a part-time vocational college instructor.

A self-described “one-man shop,” running a reputable business is Buonauro’s top priority, explaining,  “I think of hiring others, but you get too big and it’s hard to see what’s going on.”

Buonauro prefers to diagnose, fix and perform maintenance prevention, leaving time-consuming installs to others so he can be there for customers at a moment’s notice. “I especially worry about elderly people in the summer or winter not having heat or air,” said Buonauro.

Changing air filters once a month is his No. 1 1 tip and that spring and fall are optimal times for scheduling biannual maintenance.  “For every dollar that’s spent on maintenance, $10 is saved in repairs.”
