A powerful Force wins championship
Culminating a successful first year in competitive soccer, the El Dorado Hills Force took the CYSA U9 Boys District 6 Championship last week by winning the Commissioner’s Cup in Elk Grove.
Facing a talented squad from the 49er United Soccer Club of Auburn for the third time in a tournament final this year, the Force tied the game late before winning on penalty kicks in overtime. Head Coach Greg Bricca noted, “This is a special group of boys who have developed into a formidable team. They’ve shown determination, sportsmanship, and skill while having a bunch of fun!”
CYSA District 6 is comprised of the 49′er, American River, Butte, Capital Valley, El Dorado, Elk Grove, Fairfield-Suison, Gold Country, Placer, River City, Sacramento, Vacavill, and Yuba Sutter youth soccer leagues.
The El Dorado Hills Soccer Club is holding competitive tryouts for the 2013 soccer season in January. More information can be found on the league website, edhsc.org.
