Blue Devils cruise to tournament win

By From page A7 | October 17, 2012

The El Dorado Hills Blue Devils U15 boys soccer team took part in the Santa Cruz Classic Soccer Tournament on Sept. 29-30 and came home as champions.

The Blue Devils won the championship by compiling an undefeated record throughout the tournament, outscoring their opponents 11-2. Leading scorer Jack Davidson tallied three goals and two assists in the tournament with Luke Johnson and Andrew Greer scoring two goals each. The defense played fantastic and was led by Max Dillard, Reese Benson, and goalie Connor Gann contributing two shut-outs and conceding only two goals in four games.

This is the team’s second championship at the Santa Cruz Classic in the last three years, and this is the Blue Devils’ second tournament championship this season.

For more than 28 years, the focus of the El Dorado Hills Soccer Club has been to develop, administer and promote an organized soccer program for the children of the greater El Dorado Hills community on a non-profit, volunteer basis. For more information visit edhsc.org.
