Blue Devils take the cup

The El Dorado Hills Blue Devils won the District Cup Soccer Championship for the U14 boys select division on Dec. 9, beating the U14 Boys from Elk Grove Soccer Club 3-1 at Bartholomew Sports Park in Elk Grove.

The goals were scored by Sam Miller, Sebastian Gardey and Jack Davidson. In the District Cup Playoffs this year the Blue Devils played five games, outscoring opponents 20-4. The Blue Devils have the distinct honor of having now won the District Cup Championship in three consecutive years (2009, 2010 and 2011).

Winning the District Cup as a three-peat is a big deal for our boys and something that has never been accomplished in our clubs history (El Dorado Hills Soccer Club),” said head coach Eric Davidson.

The El Dorado Hills Blue Devils are: Reese Benson, Brandon Bollengier, Jack Davidson, Maxwell Dillard, Trevor Engle, Matthew Fehr, Connor Gann, Sebastian Gardey, Mitch Hauser, Luke Johnson, Cameron Madsen, Sam Miller, Josh Mouzis, JJ Musili, Cole Rickard and Austin Streetman with head coach Eric Davidson and assistant coaches Dan Streetman and Martin Roberts.
